Bruce rejected her.

Selina blinked, bewildered. "An heir? What is this crazy bitch talking about, Bruce?"

He turned slightly towards Selina, his gaze flickering between her and Talia. "She and I... we have history. Years ago—"

"Years ago you fell in love with me, didn't you, beloved?" Talia interrupted.

Bruce was about to make a clarifying comment but Talia left no opening to do so.

"Our time together was passionate and romantic... unlike your time with... those little bumbling strumpets." The assassin's eyes shifted to Selina, disgust clearly evident on her face. "It was wise to use a condom with her earlier. Who knows what abomination might have resulted from union with such an inferior woman."

"What the fuck, bitch?" Selina snarled as she moved past Bruce.

"Selina," Bruce heeded while reaching out and grabbing her arm, stopping her before she could lunge at Talia. He leaned into her ear, whispering, "Don't let her get to you."

The assassin strutted closer, her fingers playing with a small blade. "Are you done playing with the stray whore, beloved? If so, shall we go?"

"No more, Talia," Bruce stated, standing between the two women again. "This ends now."

Selina smirked, crossing her arms over her chest. "If he dumped you for a stray whore, what does that make you?"

There was fire in Talia's eyes. It was like the stare of a predator locked onto its prey. Things were about to get a lot more heated.
