What is next on the Itinerary

Brief Queen Aldra on the Continents affairs

Well it seems now is as good a time as any to do what many would be the worst and exaushting part of your duties, assiting the Queen in the paperwork and Beauaccracy of the empire she reigns. It's taxing as it is neccessary, something you were trained and drilled to excell at as tradition dictated for any male member of the Clerk family. In fact, the traditions of the Clerk Family was designed to be synomous with Queen's Blade protocal, where rulership of the Clerk Estate would be ruled by the female members having breen taught and trained to be ready to rule by the time they reached 12 years of age, while the males were trained and taught to be ready to become the Queen's Advisor by the time they reach 12 years old. Granted the males gain the full titles of authority of the Clerk Earldom, but unless said man is rejected by the ruling Queen or by some unlikley event resigns, the men of the family are likley to spend more time serving the Queen than serving the families land, until thier service of the Queen is up upon her defeat, and a new advisor is assined to the new Queen. However, if none is available they will continue to serve to the best of thier ability, which has happaned on many occasions, as the Queen's Blade tournament takes place every 4 years for the past one hundred and sixteen years ago from now so it isn't unheard of that winner of the last Tournament would be replaced by another the next, either by stepping down willing to the Victor of all Tournament Matches or being defeated by the contender in battle.

The point being that being the Count is more a formality for the sake of appearances in accordance to the traditions of other nobility, while the Clerk matriarch is the true power and source of leadership for your home and Clerk countries local population are very much aware of this. Contrary to what many would assume, this isn't simply because the Clerk family is in full support of the Queen's Blade system to the point of operating in parallel, it's also a matter of pragmatism, as being advisor to the Queen can lead to great power and oppurtunity, the kind that can lead to corruption and treachery, so the Clerk Family never send women to be Advisors so they wouldn't threaten the authority of the Queen, as a female advisor can participate in the Queen's Blade Tournament and be able to challenge the Queen with all the advanteges of knowing the particpants and the Queen herself and be close enough to sabatage her competion even. Naturally this level of treachery was anctipated which is preciscly why only men are allowed to become the royal advisor of the Queen, granted the man can still fall prey to corruption and temtpation, but can't use Queen's Blade directly to his advantage, and to even try would enact the wrath of Heaven above whom ensure the law and sanctity of Queen's Blade is upheld to the letter, so the greator impact is less severe in the long run.

In any case, your mission is to assist the Queen in any way she needs to rule, for as long as your able, and you would be remiss if you didn't see to it to the best of your ability. Queen Aldra is certainly impressed with your work and presentation, bringing the relevant and immediate issues first followed by issues that can't wait another day to be looked over if not decided upon. Queen Aldra is certainly no fool, and she certainly doesn't need you to speak to her as if she were a layman, however even with her diciplined facial features could not hide the fact that she finds this whole exercise tedious and tiresome, but she is patient, till the time arrived that a break was in order.

"Alright Windbag, that's enough for the time being. We'll reconvene at a later time." she declared.

"As you wish your majesty", you said satisfied with the work you've done so far and see value of this decision.

You made yourself to leave, paperwork in hand, only for the Queen to stop you and motioned you to follow her. You did so in the respectable distance as protocal dictated.

Apparently this served to irritate her for some reason as she looked over her shoulder towards you.

"Must you follow me like that?" she asked with a wry smile.

"It is protocal, your Majesty" you cordially replied.

"Of course it is" the Queen said rolling her eyes. "Do I have to order you to follow beside me every time I ask you follow me?"

You take a moment to consider her question, than you answered: "Well, you could make it a royal decree that unless commanded otherwise the royal adviser must walk alongdside his Queen's side."

"Very well make it so, or must I make say it aloud verbatim?"

You simply responsded by walking alongside her. "By your will your majesty"

"Hmph, cheeky. That will make this more fun for me."

You dein not to rospond or ask what she means, as no doubt it is involved with where she is leading you to.

Where do the two of you end up?
