Break time

The blonde woman was thankful when her break came and she was able to slip out of Ted’s sight for a few minutes. After clocking out, she went to the coffee shop across the street from the store and ordered a sandwich. Luckily, some of her co-workers were grabbing a bite to eat after being sent home for the night.

“Hey ladies, long time no see!” Stephanie greeted Heather and Dora.

“Hey Steph! Ted send you home?” Heather asked.

“No, he’s keeping me there all night. I still can’t believe he called me in like that. Seriously, who does that?” she answered the young brunette.

“I think he’s got the eyes for you, Steph. Better watch out!” Heather gave a laugh with a bit of seriousness behind it.

“I know, right. What I can’t figure out is why me. If he were smart, he’d been more interested in one of you younger girls,” Stephanie shook her head.

“If he were smart, he’d be interested in all of us younger girls!” the teen girl laughed.

“He’s interested in you because he’s a perv that thinks he’s got a shot with an attractive woman like you,” answered Dora.

“Ugh! I can’t wait to get out of that store. It’s nowhere near as fun a place to work as it was when I was your age, Heather,” She told the young brunette.

“You’ll have to tell me some stories one day, when you’re not at lunch. I can’t wait to hear what kind of trouble you used to get into at that store!” Heather laughed. “Excuse me, girls. Gotta answer a phone call.”

As the young woman stepped away from the table, Stephanie and Dora looked at her and chuckled. Before she stepped outside, they could hear her say her boyfriend’s name.

“My God, were we ever that young?” Dora asked.

“Yup! Just as young! And hopefully, just as beautiful as she is!” Stephanie laughed.

After twenty minutes, Stephanie excused herself, cleaned her spot and headed back to finish her shift. She dreaded coming off her break almost as much as she dreaded coming into work.
