Branching Possibilities

(I apologize for my infrequent updates to this story)

With the three major plotlines established (Grimoire, Cauldron, and Chaos Beast), I'm seeing dozens of possible adventure threads for our protagonist, the Herald of Grevakhnu (HoG), to explore. Obviously the intent here is to establish the new cult lair for the glory of Grevakhnu, but I want to use this chapter line to share my thoughts regarding the story's design with anyone willing to read. Constructive criticism is more than welcome!

Though it is established early on that HoG must pioneer new territory for his cult, the ultimate location of the new lair is up in the air. It could be in a cave, a swamp, a forest, bandit camp, or even the sewers of a city or port town. Not only that, but once a lair is established I suspect it might change the scope of the storyline. Gathering cult followers, planting the seeds of his demonic patrons, and cultivating corruption in local communities is big picture stuff. So far the narrative has been very intimately following our lone protagonist (occasionally accompanied by unwitting victims). At this point I'm not sure if I want the various plotlines to have differing scopes with a big picture base-building plotline feeling more like the Overlord anime, while another might be more cloak and dagger intrigue following the HoG as he worms his way into political power through subtle corruption, cunning deception, strategic misdirection.

On the one hand, a big picture story means more cultists and slaves, and we can always zoom in for a snapshot of HoG defiling one of his followers or captives with a combination of warlock powers and his cock. Again though, this plotline would lack drama or tension unless we really up the stakes. Perhaps a detachment of demonslayers and paladins are sent to investigate the rumors of a new cult forming in the region. That could lead to some fun interrogation scenes. If the storyline gets too comfortable for HoG, we could always explore what might happen if he gets captured by his enemies. Left with only his ingenuity, he must recover his artifact and escape.

In a storyline with a smaller scope we would see a lot more of HoG maintaining his secrecy and trusting no one. Sure, he might travel with companions, but everything he says is a lie, spun to maintain the wool over everyone's eyes. I imagine opportunities for breeding scenes are rare in this plotline unless he can establish a small, secure location to store away his willing (or unwilling) breeders. Face-to-face deception and taking personal risks are where the drama in this plotline originates.

As for the sexy stuff, I want to make sure each recurring female character feels distinct (more than just a hair color and a hole to fill). Descriptive imagery will primarily focus on the belly expansion, breast expansion, physical corruption, transformations, and lots of vicious, viscous ichor.

If anything mentioned above sparked a thought, feel free to share it in the comments. If you think there's another angle or focus I'm missing, I'd also love to hear what you think. Some of my best writing comes from collaboration brainstorms.
