Blind Teacher, Broken Student

"I assume neither of us need to explain why you are here. You do however need to tell me how you ended up here." She tells me looking straight into my eyes

With what little boost I gave myself I catch on she is either A. Giving me a chance to tell my story so she can compare it to others, B. Trying to catch me in any lies when she may already know the truth, or C. Making it sound like she knows what I have done causing me to come clean when she actually knew nothing. Cardin may be an insult to huntsmen but he made team leader for a reason so I know he wouldn't attack the way he did if he could be caught so easily. I'm sure he'd be willing to go along with me fighting him and his team than let a Glynda know why CFVY attacked them and if not it can be chalked up to him and his team being too prideful not wanting to admit they all lost when they had full advantage against me. Not to mention improve my image in CFVY and everyone else's eyes.

'I'll go with assuming it's A. and/or C. for safety. Besides it may not even matter after this meeting.' I go over in my head

"I was meeting up with team CFVY in the training room, I watched them fight, I left, they attacked me, and I defended myself. It's as simple as that." I say confidently

She looks me in the eye a near expressionless face if not for the slight furrow if her eye brows. I look back being neutral as I can be. I'm not sure if it was the mental boost processing my mental processing or if she was still just that intimidating, but it felt like a while of just us staring at each other. One keeping up a wall to hide the truth the other looking for any cracks to look past and the truth. She was almost like a statue but in reality this lasted a few seconds before she talked again.

"You are telling me that you single handedly took on an entire team unarmed and unprepared." She doubtingly

"I already proved to be better than Cardin in fair combat and his entire team were easily intimidated only proving to barely be a threat when given every advantage." I say bitterly about the situation

"Yes. A talk for later, but let's stick to the incident shall we. Why were you targeted?" Glynda asks so nonchalantly

"I humiliated him in a spar and his entire team during lunch while they were harassing Velvet ma'am." I answer

"Yes word of that has spread quickly and the reason you weren't called in earlier for that situation is because you exercised restraint and did not escalate it to it's **** which can't be said here. May I ask why that is Mr. Arc?"

"They weren't going to fight, not in the given situation and both of us knew that, and he knew that's why I did it. Which I can only assume played to why he came back following a desire he was too weak to follow through on." I say still neutral with a hint of justified aggression

"Even so you are aware that even as the victim you were in the wrong."

My eyes widen just slightly in confusion, "How am I in the wrong? He and his team jumped me and attacked me into a near whole day in this infirmary what wrong could I have done?"

"You have chosen that fight Mr. Arc, make no mistake what you did was self defence there is no just law that can say otherwise, however as you proved in your spar you are capable of escaping to even returning to the training room seeking out team CFVY for aid, but you chose to stay and fight back."

'Shit I was not expecting to have to talk so much out of this but I'll along a bit longer until I can cause an opening.'

"With all due respect I was cornered not to mention out numbered while I am confident in my ability to fight them I was not gonna be able to escape without giving an opening something I would not be able to due given the situation." I tell her in a restrained aggressive manner

"You are saying you didn't thi-" I cut her off

"If I had then I would, if I could then I'd have done it. I am not you I wasn't dealing with student I was fighting my equals I was not capable of doing or thinking of what you would do." I put on lay on the anger

"You will watch your tone Mr. Arc and not interrupt me again. I am not sure what has gotten into you today but you will control yourself." She tells me in a demanding tone

*INHALE* *EXHALE*

I take a breath calming down, "I'm sorry for the outburst I'm just a little bit on edge today."

"Let us continue then." She says analyzing my actions

"Ok." I say in a calmer state

"Now what can you tell about team CFVY in the incident." She says back on track

"They showed up around the end of the fight but not quite after it." I say in normal voice

"Explain."

"They showed up about a minute before it ended. I was low on aura and CRDL were still standing Velvet showed up called her team they tried breaking it up and I used the distraction to catch them off guard." I made up

"And you neglected to say this?" She points out

"I wanted to leave them out and not cause any problems they didn't do, one them said CFVY was helping me before I landed the last hit. Knowing how arrogant Cardin is I felt he was bound to pull something and drag them down too than admit I beat them by myself." I tell her

"I see, well if you have nothing else too say."

I shook my head

"Then I'll go over what you said and compare it to the others.

I give nod

"Now with that aside lets move on with your recent developments."

This caught me off guard.

"My development? Miss Goodwitch." I asked in a genuine confusion

"I've noticed that you have made a great shift in your work ethic as of late." She tells me

I wait for her to continue.

"I have heard from the other teachers of your upstanding performance in your World History and Grimm Studies. I was skeptical assuming they were merely exaggerating the suddenness of your improvement, but from my class to this current incident I've become fully aware that their praise of your improvement was quite the understatement." She says sounding like a compliment but from her expression and tone there was very little I should be happy about right now

"You say that like it's a bad thing?" I wonder as to why this is seemingly a negative thing

"Normally it should be, but given what came with it and what affects it has had with others is what concerns me."

"What do you mean?"

"You are not the same as you were your first year."

"You've become confident to the point of arrogant if your little show of bravado was anything to go on after your spar." She says disapprovingly

"I was just a little defensive at my first accomplishment being made to seem so insignificant." I defended

"This improvement of yours has then led you to be more active in the issues of others like Ms. Scarletina leading to your confrontation with Mr. Winchester and his team." She continues

"Refusing to help where you can makes a person scum especially when you're able to make a difference. If teachers actually put a stop to it themselves something like this wouldn't happen." I give a moral opinion and mildly jab

"Mind your attitude Mr. Arc." She says with a stern look

I obliged for now being quiet

"While it is a noble sentiment to give aid when you can, Ms. Scarletina was in no real danger nor was Mr. Winchester an actual threat."

"And that justifies blatant racism and harassment, it's doesn't pose serious bodily harm? Aren't huntsmen and huntresses suppose to keep the peace not let it happen or indulge in it ourselves?" I say getting into the subject

"We do but to intstill the ideal key traits into students they can't be **** they have to be learned by the students themselves." She tells me

"That is a horrible and from my experience a failure of a system."

"From the student perspective that is obvious. But do point out the failure you've experienced" She says like it's an expected complaint

"Cardin has been playing the bully since day one and if anything only gotten worse. Velvet still refuses to fight back. I fight back in self-defense and I get sent here for a bad reason apparently. So if you could play the part of a teacher and explain to this 'student' where the improvement comes into play I'd really appreciate it." I say getting a bit heated in this

"The more help students receive the longer and more difficult it will be for them to act independent. Helping Ms. Scarletina with a problem she is very likely to confront after graduation will make her less capable of handling them in more serious circumstances. Forcing morals on Mr. Winchester would not yield the proper results than it would for him to develop them for himself. You are here for choosing to fight and send four of your fellow class men in the infirmary instead of running or calling for help."

I could see some of her points and this all being pointless after this meeting I still wanted to fight on this.

"I was blocked off from escape in a hall without armor, assistance, weapons, or my scroll thanks to that Mohawked-scrawny-punk rock-pickpocket, fox picked it off him afterwards." I tell her with attitude

And before she could reply I lose my temper.

"Velvet doesn't fight back because there are repercussions of her fighting lower years and if she didn't Cardin would be in worse condition than he is now. To let a student solve an issue on their own is simple enough but to allow the harasser to do the same is pure ignorance of the teacher and proof of a failed system they follow." I tell looking her straight in the eyes

"If I lost my temper against them I would have drawn blood, people have limits to their patience, you've seen Cardin reach his, look where he ended up. I have been pushed to mine and you haven't even seen the extent of it." I laced these words with a bit of genuine anger

"Oh and how far have you been pushed Mr. Arc?" She asks this with interest

"Beacon and it's staff allowed their students to play the roles of victim and monster giving no interference. Cardin has done his part, I've played mine and you know what happened to me. You've seen and ignored me as the prey, now that I became the predator here I am with your full attention. I have faced ridicule, the beatings, the harassment, ****, the threats, ****-" I fire off the things I endured before Ms. Goodwitch cuts me off

"Yes yes I am aware of Mr. Winchester's acts of aggression in his first year and he has been reprimanded accordingly to Beacon standards." Goodwitch informs

At this point I actually let a few feelings leak out.

"Who said it stopped."

Goodwitch looks back to me a hint of surprise on her features.

"Well I'm not sure how it could have slipped past m-"

"Or that they were the only ones."

Eyes furrowed, "Who else?" She simply asks

"A few members from team RWBY and my own team."

"I'm not sure what you think you have experienced but I'm sure it can't be as bad as you think it is." She says surprised

"The unfair beatings, insults, threats, being reminded that I am not fit to be a leader, told to leave beacon all because I am the weakest of our group." I listed a few things

"I'm sure you are just confused and speaking from a frazzled state of mind blowing things a little out proportion Mr. Arc."

"What about plotting to have me removed from Beacon." I say not even as a question and getting ready to put on a little show

I stand up from my seat getting Mrs. Goodwitch to place her hands on her desk ready to react.

"I LISTENED TO MY OWN TEAM SPEND TWENTY MINUTES TALKING ABOUT HOW TO GET ME OUT OF BEACON WHEN I GOT BACK FROM TRAINING!!!" I bursted out

I could tell Glynda wanted to calm me down but shock stopped her followed by a sense of believing I needed to vent.

"If they couldn't convince me with words they'd use actions, if their actions failed then they'd resort to blackmailing, of a secret I told my team in confidence when I was at my lowest." I say venting a bit walking around facing away from Glynda and taking a deep breath

"They have been trying to tell me for the last few days about this despite how much I've already done to prove I belonged here. Earlier today in the infirmary they already tried convincing to leave Beacon Pyrrha was the only that looked me in the eye as they confronted me probably would have gone farther if team RWBY didn't walk in." I breathe heavily

After composing herself she cleared her throat "Well that would explain a few things about your recent developments. You appear to have been seeking validation using your skills and lashing out at what you feel has discredited your growth. But you obviously are in a very emotional state of mind and in need of a lot help." I could hear her approach me from behind

"As your teacher I take responsibility for not noticing the signs or for taking action sooner and will take matters into my own hands. So if you have any ill will please direct it at me for my negligence not taking the necessary actions sooner and instead brought you up here for a lecture and a punishment."

She placed a hand on my shoulder, "I'm sorry you had to endure this for so long."

"Sorry for letting it happen, not knowing, or sorry that your way of letting students learn led me to this?"

In that moment as she was about to talk had I have been boosting my upper body in speed, reflexes, and mental processing, quickly I turned shooting my hand to her head. She was certainly caught off guard, but before she fell into the trance like state like the others she pulled away out of what could be sheer full-fledged huntress reflex but I am confident in succeeding to get one trait boosted just enough.

Sorry for the delay to any that noticed but again I am having personal problems with writing on my end. This was posted by accident unfinished and I had it finished a little while after it but it failed to save and I lost what I essential have now so I took a brake sorry.

Anyway Jaune got to vent about his problems lured Glynda into an emotional trap using her duty as a teacher to care for her students against her. And got one trait boosted what could it be.
