Behind the curtain good things happen
It wasn’t the sharp sting of teeth sinking into flesh I expected. It was a searing heat that exploded across my skin like molten lava, spreading through my veins with terrifying speed. A gasp escaped my lips as a wave of dizziness washed over me, leaving me clinging to her for support. Her vampiric bite flooded my veins, warm, exciting, and truly euphoric, my vibes were positive, very very positive.
She pulled back slightly, watching me with those dark eyes that now seemed to glow from within. "There," she murmured, licking the drops of blood that trailed down my chin. “Now you’ll understand.”
The world spun for a moment before settling into a dizzying clarity. I could feel every beat of my heart hammering against my ribs, each pulse echoing with an unfamiliar thrumming energy. My senses were heightened – sounds seemed sharper, smells more intense, and the scent of Seraphine was intoxicatingly heady.
She smiled again, that predatory curve of her lips sending a shiver down my spine even as it filled me with something else entirely - a strange sense of power, of belonging. "You are changing," she whispered, tracing a fingertip along the line of my jaw. “Becoming one of us.”
