Battler raised his hands up, as if to make it clear they weren't on Rosa. "Nope! Nuh uh. Thanks for the birthday gift, Aunt Rosa, and the experience, but uh... I think I'm gonna explore other opportunities with women who aren't my aunt, okay?"

I chuckled a bit at the dark, thinking about what lie ahead for him... Then immediately regretted thinking that way. Not that much is in store for him at all in the long run. Depressing.

Rosa smiled, but didn't look satisfied. "Is... is there a problem with me? Wasn't I pretty good?"

"Oh, no, no, it's not anything about you! You, uh, look great, and I could tell you tried hard! It's just our... family status, you know, would make doing anything more weird for me, even if you're okay with it. Take that cash and treat Maria for me when you're back home, all right?"

The young mother sighed... Anyone looking would probably say she wasn't being properly appreciative of the huge stack she'd been awarded just for playing around a little with her nephew. "Of course. Well, I'll dress back. You need to put on this blindfold for the second game, Battler. I'll turn out the lights again when I leave."

"What the heck...?" Battler looked at the black blindfold curiously, turning it over in his hand. "It's not gonna be Aunt Natsuhi or Eva, is it?!"

"No, of course not." I had expected Rosa to have to hide her reaction to that latter guess, but she had a blank face on like she was already trying to forget about all of this. Without even addressing Battler further, she extinguished the light and left the room.

Cautiously, I checked if Battler's blindfold was actually in place, yanking on it to make sure it didn't come free and ignoring the young man's protests. It seemed it was okay, which meant the final game could begin...
