Battle of Instillation 05

The phantom begins to slow its approach to one of the large and busy hangars of the Covenant’s massive holy city, High Charity. The troops in the phantom’s troop bay are exhausted from the still raging 4 way battle between the zelous Covenant, the battle hardened humans of the UNSC, the robotic Forerunner Sentinels, and the all consuming parasite, the Flood. The few sangheili, jackals, and grunts aboard initially had more with them, a whole platoon's worth of holy warriors, with the intention of guarding a small outpost serving as a forward deployment LZ for incoming Covenant troops. However, due to the ever increasing numbers of Flood running unopposed in Instillation 05’s quarantine zone the LZ had to be abandoned and relocated. Defending the LZ from wave after wave of parasites, the defending **** lost most of their fighters, with only about a sixth of what was originally sent being able to be saved. Another group of Covenant troops will be tasked with getting the replacement LZ operational while the previous group rests, rearms, and regroups.
