Battle of Fort Titian

As the war raged on for more than twenty years, the Holy League managed to capture a number of port cities from the Onurcan Sultanate and remain in control of this entire eyalet ever since then. The Onurcan Sultanate is a transcontinental nation and one of the world's superpowers, controlling the southeast of Medusan continent, most of the coasts of North Maqiyan continent and a portion of the Near East and one of the members of the Allies.

With only the ancient Fort Titian and its naval port are still standing, the Allied troops in the area have been holding out on their own for 17 years with the food and medical supplies from the members of the Allies such as Mirantia. But due to Mirantia needed to be on constant alert due to being surrounded by hostile neighbors and already dispatched two battalions to the Siege of Diani and also have a number of fleets patrolling all Mirantian waters to prevent one of the League's fleets from landing, the Allied troops at Fort Titian are on their own.

Now, Fort Titian is completely surrounded on all sides by the League's troops, making the naval port inaccessible for the Allied troops within the fort while the Allies' fleet stationed at the port cannot open fire their cannons without destroying the fort and kill their own troops.

But that is about to change soon.

After years of constructing and experimenting, the mages and scientists managed to create the fully operational self-propelling armored car armed with steam cannons. So far, they only possessed three of them. However, they still possessed the significant amount of cannons powered by gunpowder on the ramparts and they also have a large number of archers and crossbowmen armed with variety of arrows such as normal and explosive arrows as well. The only advantage the Holy League possessed are quantity of their troops, weapons and supplies around the fort because the most of the naval engagements are heavily focused on the United Boroughs' front, thus making this front lacking a proper fleet to stop the Allies' fleet made up of a number galleys and galleons.

With three of the the armored self-propelling cars are ready and armed, two of them are deployed outside to fight the enemy while the other one is kept as reserve.

Once they are deployed, the armed vehicles performed very well against the League's troops because the gears are running by the magic spelled by the mages while the men who manned the steam cannons fire accurate shots that can kill large number of enemy's troops in one go.

To assist the armored cars, the fort's commander, Ahmad Pasha, ordered all cannons, archers and crossbowmen on the ramparts to open fire on the enemies, killing even more of them.

In the end, Commander Alfonso Bossio is being forced to give to retreat back to one of their occupied strongholds. So with Fort Titian managed to hold out against the invaders, this raised the alarm about the possible reclamation of the rest of the eyalet by the Allies. And if that happened, the plan to interrupt the supply line from Mirantia by sea to the Siege of Obscuria's capital will be ruined.

To make sure that did not happen, Commander Bossio wrote a letter to the King of Cerro about the Battle of Fort Titian in details, hoping that the King of Cerro and the rest of the Holy League will do something.

Later, at the Royal Palace in Cerro's capital...

"Your Majesties!" The messenger runs into the dining room to meet the King Henry II of Cerro, and his younger sister, Queen Imperia II of Obscuria. The King of Cerro is a bearded man with brown eyes in his early 30's with black hair in white shirt, black pants and black coat with a beret on his head. As for his younger sister, she possessed beautiful green eyes and long red hair while wearing the dark red dress and holding a red fan in her right hand. The most unique parts of her body, however, are her voluptuous torso and large boobs that appeared as cleavage as she is wearing her usual dark red dress.

"What is it? Speak!" Queen Imperia II said with a hint of anger about being interrupted while eating her dinner while looking at him straight in the eyes.

"Your Majesties! Commander Bossio failed to take Fort Titian! The plan to interrupt the supply line from Mirantia to the Allied troops that besiege Diani is on the brink of collapse!" The messenger in panic as he's bowing down before the King of Cerro and Queen of Obscuria.

"Brother! What do we do?!" Queen Imperia II said with worry in her voice.

"Well, we can only take a gamble here. Sister! How many troops do you have that are stationing at the borders between Obscuria and Mirantia?" King Henry II asked before grab a cup of wine to drink.

"Around three hundreds and thousands. Why?" Queen Imperia II asked as she is looking at him.

"Deploy two thirds of them into the Mirantian frontier towns and occupy some of those towns, forcing them to reinforce their troops over there instead of defending their supply line." King Henry II said before he uses the fork to pinch a piece of cooked meat and eat it.

"But-" Queen Imperia II is about to object while standing up but her elder brother raised his right hand, signaling her to stop.

"Desperate time called for desperate measure, sister." King Henry II said as he's looking at his younger sister in the eyes. Upon saying that, the Queen of Obscuria reluctantly nodded her head and inform the servants to grab her some papers, a quill and a bottle of ink. She is going to write the letters to the garrisons at the frontier between her country and Mirantia.
