Back up!

If you can leap back and out of the way of the monster's attack, then you'll be much safer to land your own! You don't want to just both get hit at the same time, because that would probably hurt you. It's a great idea.

Unfortunately, even though you do manage to leap back, you don't manage to do it fast enough and end up getting caught in the side. You're dismayed to see the scythe hitting right {if Armour == 2}into your blazer{else}against your metal armour, and clanging off of it{endif}. Thankfully, a bit of a bruised ego is the worst of your injuries, as you land back on the ground stumbling and nearly falling over on the slidey gravel path beneath your feet. Drat. Hopefully no one saw.{if Armour == 2}

You take a second to check, and there is some more good news to tip the overall news rating a bit more towards the green in that your blazer doesn't look torn or damaged at all. That gives you minor consolation, but only minor, because already{else} Already,{endif} the monster has recovered from the swing and is preparing for a second attack against you.

AHH! This thing is really fast! Even if you weren't able to jump back and land a big hit like you planned, you were still able to turn the attack into more of a glancing one -- and it nearly made you fall over! You'd better think quick on your feet, or else you'll need to think quick on your bum!
