Back to The Future

"Well..." Cindy said, clearing her throat. "As amusing as this is, I think we should probably head back home and get you three back to where you belong."

"Sounds good to me!" Carol chimed happily as she got to her feet and walked towards the edge of the stage.

"Uh, Carol?"

"I know, I know. 'Clothes'."

"Well, yes." Karen replied, "But I was actually referring to the tiger."

"Oh!" Carol said as she ruffled the big cat's head with a chuckle. "Sorry, Buddy. You can't come home with me."

The next morning, after returning the tiger, getting Carol some clothes, and paying for their hotel rooms, the group had bought tickets for a bus back home. Carol was in amazement at the wonders of the bus while Sophie filled Dexter in on everything that he would have to know about the future. Cindy was relaxing as Karen finished talking on the phone.

"So, I just finished talking with the tow company." Karen said as she hung up the phone, "They should be able to bring my car over to the mechanic nearest us, which means we'll be having to take your **** trap for a while."

"You mean my motorcycle?" Cindy asked with a laugh.

"That's what I said. 'Your **** trap'."

"..."

"..."

"You know, I do kinda wish there was a way to visit them." Cindy said with a sigh, watching their future friends and Dexter. "These past few days have been wild, but they have been fun too."

"If you call getting kicked out of an airport, breaking down in a desert, getting stripped by tourists, stealing horses, getting sprayed by skunks, running from crazy and perverted 'superheros', fighting a crazy and corrupt strip club owner, getting chased by said owner, and doing naked karaoke 'fun'."

"Karen..."

"However," Karen continued, "I'm actually gonna miss having these guys around."

As Cindy and Karen talked, Carol smiled. She had over heard the couple talking, and an idea had formed in her head...

"And this is it!" Carol exclaimed as they stepped off the bus that night, a large apartment complex standing in front of them...

In the middle of college football field, thousands of spectators watching and filming as a news reporter spoke into the camera in front of it.

"No one is certain just where the building had come from yesterday, and video footage has left campus security completely baffled." The Reporter said into the camera. "What is known is that, according to eyewitness reports, it appears to have teleported in from some nudist resort. And what appears to be the roars of tigers up on the tenth floor."

"Oh dear! Frank and Angelina!" Carol said as the group walked past the crowd to the back entrance of the building. "My poor babies haven't been fed in two days!"

"Carol, how did you not notice any of this when you left your apartment yesterday?" Cindy asked.

"Oh, I guess I didn't notice."

"Of course you didn't..."

"That reminds me!" Carol said as she wrapped her friends from the past up into a hug. "I'm gonna miss you guys! You two are a couple of complete bitches!"

"You know, that still sounds weird hearing that as a complement." Karen said with a chuckle. "But we'll miss you too, Carol. You, Sophie, and Dexter."

"We'll be sure to let any of our descendents look you up." Cindy said, wiping a tear from her eye as Carol pulled away. "They'll probably be the CEO of Lunch & Lounge, or something."

"I'd like that." Carol said with a sad smile as the three went through the back door of the building. A few seconds later, the door opened again as a naked Carol threw hers, Sophie's, and Dexter's clothes out onto the ground before laughing and closing it again.

"Sir, do you have any theories on where this building came from?" The Reporter asked a student that was smiling wildly at the camera.

"Hi, Mom! I'm on the news! And not in the way you thought I was!"

"Ma'am? Do you have any theories?" The Reporter asked, turning to a young goth woman standing next to her.

"Well, I think it might be -"

Suddenly, a low humming noise echoed through the air and, in a bright flash of light, the building had vanished in front of the stunned spectators.

"What happened?!"

"Where'd it go?!"

"What was that?!"

"I think I saw some guy go inside!"

"Well, there goes the craziest woman I've ever met since college." Karen said with a sad smile as she and Cindy left the stunned crowd.

Cindy nodded as she stuck her hands into her pockets... A look of surprise on her face as she felt something. Pulling it out, she and Karen looked down and smiled at the item that Carol must have slipped into Cindy's pocket during the hug...
