November 27th, 2019 – NXT Arena

Just four nights ago, Rhea Ripley and Candice LeRae were able to survivor and conquer Team Baszler on a two-to-four disadvantage inside of War Games! The very next night at Survivor Series, Rhea Ripley made headlines with her performance in the cross branded Women’s Five-on-Five-on-Five Survivor Series match. Shayna Baszler was even able to rebound that night and defeat the respective RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champions in the main event! However, another headline ruled the wrestling forums and clickbait websites: Dakota Kai turning on, injuring, and stripping her best friend Tegan Nox. Dirtsheets claiming to know why she did it, articles posted with screenshots and crowd photos of Tegan’s undressing in them for ad money, and discussions revolving around possible motives.

No one really knew what to think of it, or the reasoning behind it. While Tegan has put out a tweet on Twitter regarding what happened to her and her condition, Dakota Kai has stayed quiet. But unlike when she was stripped, she won’t be able to hide because due to her actions Candice LeRae has demanded a match with Dakota on tonight’s episode of NXT. Not to anyone’s surprise, though, William Regal has already booked Dakota in a match and was just looking for an opponent.

Backstage, Candice LeRae is standing with Cathy Kelley for an interview that will be played before her match with Dakota Kai tonight. Cathy lifts the microphone up and watches as the light on the camera turns on.

“Candice LeRae coming off of the biggest weekend of your career, both of your teams winning at War Games and the next night at Survivor Series. But I do have to ask you about everything that happened with Dakota Kai and...”

“Sorry Cathy but,” Candice says, cutting Cathy off. “Ever since War Games all I’ve heard about is Dakota Kai, Dakota Kai, Dakota Kai. And all I keep thinking about is being in the ring listening to her destroy someone I see as a sister, she might as well have done what she did to Tegan to me as well! That’s how close Tegan and I are, and I feel for her right now.” Candice pauses as she sighs in frustration. “This was somebody that was suppose to be my friend, I didn’t expect this from her. Tegan will get hers on Dakota Kai, I believe that. Tonight, Dakota Kai, she’s not going in there with her friend, Candice LeRae. She’s going in there with Tegan Nox’s pissed off big sister.”

Candice walks away, leaving Cathy to only watch her leave as the screen fades out.
