Back Alley Alchemist

You wander aimlessly for a little while before suddenly finding yourselves in a dark and somewhat unsavory part of town. Cloaked figures stalk the damp cobblestone streets muttering as they pass about outsiders.

You spot an intriguing sign above an archway leading into an alley: Edmond's Extraordinary Elixirs.

You decide to peek inside the alchemist's shop despite the trepidation of your cautious companions. Upon entering through a creaky stone door you find yourself surrounded by strange plants and shelves of vials, flasks and bottles of all sizes and shape. Many fragrant spices and herbs fill the musty air. You pace between the aisles, marveling at the peculiar ingredient lists and labels before hearing a squeaky and polite voice behind you.

"Is there anything in particular you are looking for?"

An elderly man with thick glasses and the head of a toad appears near the cash register.

"I apologize for my appearance. An unfortunate but most likely temporary side effect of a recent experiment. Don't let that fool you, though, my potions are truly top notch! I have several new ones in the back if you like to sample them?"

Curious, you decide to follow the toad-man. He presents you with three options, one, a cloudy cerulean blue liquid, one a swirling magenta, and the other an oily black vial which seems to emit golden steam.

"If you'll excuse me, I have to attend to some things for a moment, but please help yourself and let me know if you'd like to buy anything you try!" says the alchemist, who you assume is Edmond, before he leaves.
