“Yup, Cattleya . . . she’s MY daughter now isn’t she? Since we’re supposedly married” Artemis began, before snapping back to attention “Cattleya, Vera, Sabine, Valentina, and a couple others, but don’t you worry about them” Artemis said.

“Cattleya?” you ask, thinking hard on the matter. You suppose that it was a little silly to expect a fourteen year old to be a master of economics”

“Yup, it’s distant, but she’s related to Athena” Artemis tells you and you gape at her. “Best part is that she KNOWS this” Artemis added with a chuckle.

Valentina moving attracted your attention. You turn to look at the girl who had gotten up and was now getting her dress back on.

“I-if you don’t mind, I think I’ll head back now” Valentina said with a smile. You notice that it didn’t reach her eyes.

“I’ll walk you home” you say, making for the door.

“T-that’s not necessary” Valentina replied, ducking her head and trying to escape. You follow her out into the street, making sure people won’t hear you talking.

“What’s wrong?” you ask, easily keeping up with the girl.

“Solus?” Valentina asked. You look down at the girl and raise an eyebrow. “What would it take for you to trust me completely?” she asks. You raise an eyebrow at her before using your god power to get an understanding of her loyalties.

“Time” you say simply “Just time” with that, the two of you fall into silence, enjoying the cool autumn’s breeze.
