Astrid decides the cellar would be spookiest.

"Oooh," Astrid starts, seeing the dark steps going down, "if we're going to find a ghost in this place it'd have to be down there, right?"

You could see Jeannette and Isabella grimace, looking down into the abyss that was this building's basement, the dusty steps decorated with cobwebs that faded into darkness as they went further down. Nonetheless, Astrid was already pulling out her smartphone, activating it's flashlight function and taking the first step down, the wood creaking loudly.

"Come on," she says, looking over you all, especially you, "you guys aren't too scared, are you?"

"It looks awful down there," Jeannette says, "who knows how many bugs have moved into the place?"

"And those stairs look ready to turn to dust," Sasha adds. Astrid just smirks, and jumps on her step; it creaks even louder, and kicks up a cloud of dust, but it doesn't break.

"What about you, Sam?" Astrid says, and when you take too long figuring out how to explain why you don't want to go down there but totally aren't scared to, she scoffs and takes off downstairs without the rest of you.

"Astrid, wait!" Sasha shouts, "Don't hurt yourself!"

"Aw, c'mon, Sasha," Isabella says, "she's just trying to show off, what's the worst that could happen?"

As you say this, you hear Astrid shouting from downstairs. "Well? Anybody coming?!" You look to Sasha; she, Isabella, and Jeanette look to you, and you sigh, and begin down the stairs.

But as you're about halfway down....
