Ask Scott to steal back the pendant

It occurs to you that Scott is off of Lynn’s radar… so she would never suspect him wanting to steal the pendant!

“Scott… buddy! Pal! Compadre!” You say with sudden enthusiasm, arms on his shoulder as if you’ve not seen him in years.

“Friend! Amigo!” Scott joins in, obliviously welcoming your embrace.

“Can you do me a favor? I will owe you big time!” you say with your arm around his neck in the most jovial fashion you can muster.

“Of course, my chum!” Scott replies, “Your wish is my command!”

You cringe at those words, but shake it off and refocus on the favor you need. “A few days ago, Lynn sort of got hold of something of mine and I kind of need it back. The only thing is, she thinks it’s hers and won’t give it back willingly…”

Scott raises an eyebrow, “So… You want me to steal it from her?”

You shake your head and wave your hands, “No no no! Well, yeah… but it’s not stealing if it’s mine, right?”

Scott rubs his chin, reviewing the logic, “I suppose not… still, I think Lynn could beat the shit out of me if she wanted to, especially if she got her friends involved. As fantasy fodder as that may be, I’d rather not be known as the guy who guy beat up by a bunch of girls.”

“Don’t worry, we can just come up with a way to get it off her without her knowing!” You say as you pat your friend on the back, “Trust me, once you get it back to me, everything will be fine!”

“And what exactly is this ‘thing’ you want back?” Scott asks, still not quite on board.

“Did you notice her wearing a pendant when we were coming to school? That’s mine.”

Scott tilts his head, “A gift for your girlfriend that you couldn’t afford?”

“More like something she took without asking…” you reply with a hiss.

“Ah… some people just don’t have boundaries, hey pal?!” Scott laughs, ruffling your hair. “Alright, Riley, I’m in! What’s the plan?”

You pause and think. What IS the plan? If Lynn senses anything fishy going on, she’s going to put up all her guards. You’ll only have one shot at this. You need a way to steal back your pendant without her even realizing it.
