Ask Kali about the date

You wake up the next morning and fall into the same routine as usual. But it's the small things that are different that tell you that not everything is fine between you and your wife. She doesn't say good morning to you as she leaves the shower and begins to dress, she barely speaks to you over breakfast, and she runs out the door to work without the usual kiss goodbye.

As you head into work yourself, you think about the fact that your wife is going on a date with your best friend, and not just a normal date, but one that is expected to end in sex. You were fine with this idea when you were also going on a date with Kali, because that felt more equal, like two good friends swapping. But now you're not going on a date with Kali and Ariana's anger makes you feel uneasy about what she might do on the date just to get back at you.

At work, your boss comments on the uncompleted tasks from yesterday. You assure him you'll have them finished today, but he still assigns some new work on top. You work hard until lunch time, even though your mind is constantly flooded with images of your wife and your best friend completely naked and writhing together in each others arms. At first you picture them on your sofa, before realizing that they'll probably go back to Matt's. You imagine his living room, but soon the Matt in your mind is lifting your naked wife into his arms and carrying her into his bedroom.

While you eat lunch, you drive yourself crazy with more thoughts of their sex date, and you know that if you don't find out exactly what happens on their date that you'll torment yourself with thoughts of what might of happened. But how can you possibly know what's going to happen at Matt's apartment? Kali, you realize, kicking yourself for not thinking of her sooner. With the remaining minutes of your lunch break, you quickly get out your phone and text your best friend's leggy blonde girlfriend.

You: u no ari n matt r still going on their date?

It takes a little while, and you're back at your desk when she finally replies.

Kali: srry, had client ya i no, matt said u canceled bt ari still wants 2 do hers is this what ur in 2? haha

You: nooo think shes punishing me for accepting matts offer without talking 2 her 1st bt i need to know what happens

Kali: matt asked me to go out and do something else that night so think he plans to come back here

You: rnt u curious what theyll get up to?

Kali: think i have a pretty good idea haha

You: not curious at all?

Kali: a little i guess hes always talked about ariana not in a sexual way bt maybe hes just hiding that part from me

Your body goes numb when you read that Matt talks about Ariana to his girlfriend. Even if its in a non-sexual way, you wonder if your best friend has harbored a crush on your wife. They've always been good friends, so maybe its not strange for him to think highly of her, but you can't help but wonder if there is more to the story.

You: we need to watch them somehow i dont think ari will go through with it bt if they do well kno if its just sex or something more

Kali: oh i could stream it with my laptop and we could watch it remotely i keep it in the corner of the bedroom bt theyd notice if it was on

You: no that's perfect i can set it up to look like its off, so blank screen no lights bt it will still be streaming to us at my house

Kali: looks like we have a date after all

You: haha ill come over on fri afternoon to set it up

She replies that she'll see you then, and suddenly you feel a lot more excited for Friday, although you know its a bit odd to be looking forward to watching your wife with another man on a screen. But you hold fast to the likelihood that your wife won't go through with it but is just trying to make you think she will. But now you have means to know for sure.

You spend the rest of your day finishing up your work. However, the distraction caused by texting Kali means you didn't finish the extra tasks assigned by your boss. As a result, you end the day still behind on work. Dejected, you finish what you can and head home.
