Ashley is mad

“That’s out of line,” Ashley said. “You know I don’t like to talk about that. I should have been the one to die. There isn’t a moment that goes by where I don’t think of him. He was a good man. And a good soldier. Whatever you think of me, you’re low for asking a question like that.”

“It’s necessary,” Shepard said. “I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t.”

“You shouldn’t have to ask at all,” Ashley said.

“Say, Ashley, what’s your favorite thing to drink?” Shepard asked.

“Vodka,” Ashley answered.

“No further questions,” Shepard said. “Go back to the debriefing room. Bring in the next person.”

One by one Shepard interrogated each person sending them back into the debriefing room as she did. She finally reached Zaeed and entered the debriefing room once more.
