Arya and the butchers boy

While cheerfully talking, they came to the other Stark girl and some ginger peasant. They where sitting on the riverbanks, there naked feet in the water. two wooden stick layed beside them. On there way here, they had heard the noise of wooden swordplay, but Joffrey was surprised to find the wolf girl to be it's source.

"Arya what are you doing here?" his betrothed asked her younger sister, armes crossed. apparently the presence of her sibling did not fit into her plans for a romantic walk with her dream prince. He personally would have noting to say against a little entertainment.

The brown haired girl turned around looking at Sansa, half surprised, half annoyed "Oh Sansa, I told you I was going to practice sword fighting with Mycah!" she answered.

Joffres glared at the ginger boy. Had tis commoner crossed swords with the daughter of his fathers best friend? Maybe had even hit her with his dirty wooden stick? How could he dare? If this snake thing would not have happened, he may would have come to this sight in time and could have reached this commoner manners like a real man. His betrothed would have loved it. She liked strong men. He liked to be a strong man. like his father. Or grandfather. He would have beaten the shit out of the ginger commoner. His Lionstooth needed to be blooded anyway...

Before he could scold the commoner, Sansa talked back to her sister "Arya we are with the royal family now, you have to behave! You can't just play around with a butchers boy, this is not proper for a Lady!"

"I am not a Lady!" Arya Stark shouted.

Joffrey Baratheon though what he was ought to do now. He did not really care for this dirty shewolf in boy clothes and even less for the butchers boy, but he had to prove his manliness to the three youths. It was his kingly duty to do so. Just as his father always did. He had to show his betrothed that he was a strong man who would father strong princes for her one day. He had to show this Arya that he was the man around her and she was not to talk back to the future queen of the seven kingdoms. And he has to show the commoner where is place was.

His first instinct was just to attack the ginger with his blade. If they where still fighting he would have done so. But Sansa had been impressed by his calm reaction to the snake incident and apparently she was the white-knight type of girl... And then he remembered that many people praised his fathers ability to make enemies friends by fraternizing with them, just like this Greyjoy Lord, or other former enemies. Maybe he should play the generous prince, impress his betrothed, win the loyalty of this stinking commoner (for what it was worth...) and show the younger Stark how grown up he was and how childish her own behaviour was for her age.
