Arise from Slumber

You feel the water splashing around lightly as you slowly awake from your dreams. You see Claire slowly moving over to the tray of healing salve and opening one up, only to pour it into the spring once more.

"Mornin' sleepy." She smiles at you before inching down below the waters again.

You let out a giant yawn "How long was I out for?"

"A couple hours. I passed out as well for a few."

You look down at your wrist, where Claire caught you with her Ulak during your fight, the slice was healing quite nicely, a new layer of skin was already forming the slice together. You look down at your stomach, where once again, Claire got you with her Ulak, to find that fairly deep slice much much smaller now. You go to sit yourself up which causes you to groan lightly "This salve really helps with the cuts but god damn my bones are still sore."

Claire, her eyes closed, her head leaning back on the side of the springs, laying on a cloth pad. "That's why.." she lightly moans "Mmmm, we just sit in this hot spring and let it soothe our bodies." she lets out a deep breath through her nose.

You lightly swim over towards Claire and sit down next to her, leaning your body back to submerge it into the water. You lay your head down on the same cloth pad that borders that side of the spring and tilt your head, looking at Claire. Your arms are now side by side, lightly touching, your heads about a foot apart, you keep your eyes open, looking directly at her face. You can't help but grin, happy you're finally together again.

She slowly opens her eyes, her beautiful piercing blue eyes meet yours. She doesn't say a word.

Your hand moves towards hers, inching it's way into her fingers. They part as you interlock yours into her, holding her hand under the water, your eyes both still looking into each other.

"I'm glad you're okay." you finally let out

"I'm glad you're okay." she repeats, biting her lower lip.

"Soooo...tell me about this stone cold-god of war-bitch, Luna?" you smirk at her, letting out a laugh.

She can't help but let out a small chuckle herself for a few seconds before squeezing your hand a little firm "Ahhh..." her ribs still giving her issues.

"Ya know..." you pause "You're lucky I went easy on you..." you squeeze her hand "Didn't want to embarrass you in front of your Sunriders."

"Ya know..." she repeats "You're lucky I went easy on you..." she squeezes your hand "Didn't want to beat you too fast."

You both let out small laughs, only to both wince in slight pain as your bodies continue to soak in the ever soothing hot spring.
