Apologetic

"SORRY!: You yell out loud in a class full of students practicing telepathy. Everyone seems to be glaring at you as the weird kid sitting awkwardly whom the gorgeous girl is walking away from. You sit out the rest of class in silence as you wait for the others to finish. You're all excused at the end most people don;t make eye contact with you, a few seem to give you a mean look on the way out. All they know is for one reason or another the school's princess just stormed away from you. You shuffle your feet all the way to your next class, praying a Kraken will just spawn out of nowhere and swallow the school whole so you do not further draw attention to yourself.

You now have a very basic telepathic ability. Able to communicate with others but only if the two of you maintain eye contact.
