Does Anne go outside or stay here?
Anne stays with Mr. Brightson
Anne swallows, slightly uneasy with the conversation outside for some reason she can't quite place, and steers her gaze back to Mr. Brightson. "Well, thank you for telling me that," she says. {if Alice < 75}"I must admit it upsets me to hear that there are such rumors floating about town..."{endif}
Brightson smiles kindly at her. "Think nothing of it. I'm just trying to look out for the wellbeing of my parish." He frowns slightly. "But you do look a upset, Miss Foxhaven - whatever is the matter?"
Do I tell him how worried I am about finding a husband? Anne wonders to herself. Do I tell him how much I fear failing my sisters, and seeing them in bondage?{if Alice < 75} Or how I worry that Alice will get us all bound through her indiscretions?{endif} On the one hand, Mr. Brightson is a parson, and might be able to help...on the other...is it really proper to tell him such girlish fears?
Does Anne confide in Brightson?
