Anna Has A Thought

A few hours had passed by back at the lodge, neither Kenny nor Anna had moved during the movie. Anna found herself becoming almost too comfortable under Kenny's warm embrace, and Kenny didn't want to push Anna away when she clearly needed someone. Though the teen couldn't lie, the feeling of being with the blonde girl was nice; it felt warm and nice, almost as good as it felt to be with Zoey. Kenny couldn't lie, something about Anna did feel genuine like even though she wasn't with him, he could feel how much she cared that he was here with her when she needed him. It was a good feeling, and it was starting to scare Kenny too, he didn't want to do something stupid.

Meanwhile, Anna was feeling more like herself for once, like her real self before Eric showed back up. Anna knew that she was to blame for a lot of what happened earlier this week, especially when it came to poor Zoey, and that was due to her childish want for Eric. Anna just needed to be with him, and when he pushed Zoey away, Anna did feel a little sick over it. It was gross to think she caused a breakup, but again, it was in the name of "love" so Anna pushed past it. Then he cheated and now all Anna wished was that she could go back, change her actions, stop herself from going after Eric. Make herself move forward, or at least give Eric a set of balls so he could have rebuffed her.

The truth of the matter was, Anna desperately wanted to be with the first man she loved forever, but it wasn't meant to be. Now she knew it and noticed that she had better options around, Anna had three great friends right here in the lodge that could make her just as happy as Eric ever did. She knew Brian liked her, and she could always explore that if she wanted. Hell, he was being quite nice and kind at the beginning of the trip before she began to ignore him due to Eric. There was also JJ, who was incredibly handsome and sweet, Anna did find him quite charming and attractive as well. Then, of course, there was Kenny...

Anna lifted her head up and locked her emerald eyes right on Kenny's face, unable to do anything but smile at his sight. Kenny was great, Anna felt comfortable around him, she felt like she could trust him...she knew she could trust him. When Anna started this trip, she did have a romantic thought about any of the men in the lodge, but now she couldn't help but wonder why she didn't. Each of them had their own merit, and out of the trio, Kenny was by far out in front. The blonde girl nibbled on her lower lip for a quick moment, not only was Kenny out in front for her affections; he was single too. Anna couldn't help but wonder if he was feeling just as lonely at this moment as she was.

"Hey, Ken," Anna softly whispered causing the brown-haired teen to hum back, "I'm not making you feel...uncomfortable or anything right?"

"No, Anna, of course not," Kenny replied with no hesitation, "If it had bothered me, you'd have known by now," He added on with a small chuckle,

"G-Good, I just...I like being near you like this," Anna said while sheepishly lowering her head, "You're all warm and comfy...I used to love doing this with Eric too..."

Kenny wet his lips and swallowed before clearing his throat, "O-oh? That's, uh, well, that's cool..." Kenny mumbled back,

"I really am sorry for kissing you last night," Anna said with a breathy laugh, "I can't believe I let myself just...collapse, like, everything I live by, and my morals all stopped because I wanted to stoop to Nicole's level." Anna finally looked up at Kenny with a smirk, "It didn't even occur to me that you didn't want that,"

"I..." Kenny started to say before pausing, "Not saying that I did want it, but...it wasn't like it was bad or anything," He admitted as he rubbed the back of his neck,

"Please, you're just saying that...I'm a mess and last night showed that clearly. No way you wanted the crazy blonde girl mauling you like an animal," Anna lightly joked back, though her voice held a slightly sullen tone,

"No, you were...I was..." Kenny stumbled before talking in a slow breath, "Okay, first off, you've been going through a lot the last few months, with your first break up with Eric then...everything else. So no, you're not crazy, Anna. And secondly, you're an amazingly beautiful woman, you kissing me was never at risk for revulsion on my part. I stopped it because I knew you didn't mean it,"

"So you wouldn't have stopped me if I just came up and kissed you last night?" Anna asked with a curious tilt of her head, "You don't mind...going that far with a girl that fast?"

"It's not that I want it or anything, I figure it's just...whatever they feel most comfortable with?" Kenny replied, almost sounding like he was guessing, "So...yes, I guess?"

"I waited so long with Eric for my first time because...I don't know; I thought that was what you're supposed to do, you know?" Anna began to explain, "I figured that if we waited so long, then it'd prove that he was going to be loyal and only want me, but that turned out to be so, so, wrong."

"You can't even estimate people, I figured that Nicole would have eventually broken down and admitted she had feelings for me...but not, that seems like such a pipe dream," Kenny muttered back,

"We both got hurt by someone we cared a lot about," Anna remarked, "Now we're alone, just thinking about our mistakes...it's almost romantic huh?" She lightly giggled as she snuggled into Kenny's chest, "In a dark, tragic kind of way,"

"Heh, I guess that's one way of looking at it..." Kenny sighed, "I mean, fuck, I guess I could look at my whole week that way."

"Yeah?" Anna softly asked, "Oh, I'm sorry Nicole made things so difficult for you,"

"It's not just her, it's...it's crazy that I've had sex with everyone but you and yet I'm still alone, you know? I never wanted that, all I wanted to was a real relationship, with someone who cares about me. And each time I think I'm gonna get that...it just slips away," The teen finished with a defeated exhale, "I really thought I was close this time, too," He added on under his breath, thinking of Zoey for a long moment,

"Ken..." Kenny slowly turned his head to Anna and opened his eyes only to see the blonde close hers. The blonde girl's soft pink lips pressed forward, pushing gently against his with a very soft hum. Kenny's eyes slowly blinked a few times before slowly drifting shut. Anna's right hand lifted, and she smoothly cupped the side of Kenny's face, stroking his thumb as she held the tender kiss. It lasted for nearly a minute before she pulled away, letting out a soft nervous pant, "S-Sorry..."

"It's...it's alright..." Kenny whispered back, his voice slightly shaky,

"I don't...I don't know why I...I was...mhm," Anna mumbled before silencing herself by pushing forward for more, locking lips with the teen once more, only this time treating him to a deep more passion filled kiss. Anna was done fighting; she wanted to be with someone who was real, who was genuine. Kenny cared, Anna knew it, and Kenny was someone she wanted. Anna didn't want to keep fighting her emotions, every time she fought against them they came back with a vengeance. This time, she was going to listen, let herself act freely, and do something that she wanted. There was no risk this time, no fallout, just herself and Kenny...that's all.
