Val finally brought Allison down, the young tank of a girl going limp as Val hurried Kitty out of the exit. They escaped back to a hotel room nearby that Super Vallery had reserved for their getaway.

“Why’d you come to help me?” Kitty asked.
“I wish I could say I were here simply out of good will, but I was specifically seeking out your aid, human pup.”
“Kitten.”
“Indeed. However, I came to request your assistance in the battling of evil in this league. The Luvs hold them at bay, but they have their own agendas. I seek the underestimated, and your outstanding speed may be just the thing. I need you so that we may blindside wickedness, shock cruelty, and bamboozle foul play!”

Kitty’s tail flicked, but she was otherwise silent.
“We will beat up bad guys!” Val shouted with undaunted enthusiasm.
“Nya! I’m in!”
“Excellent! But we’ve more recruitment to do before our legion is complete!”
“I think they call them factions here.”
