With that Diana says goodbye and leaves the island of Themyscira, knowing she cannot return.

The scene on the boat is different, as Diana keeps the boat going South, and as Steve Trevor sleeps, for more than a full day. When he wakes up he is starving and eats his fill of the fruit they brought along, and then the scene continues as it did originally. Leading up to them approaching England.
