You casually turned around in case you had to act like you had been busy but when you saw who was there you realised there was no point. The noise you heard had come from Lucy following you into the room before peeking through the gap in the door and shutting it once she saw who had come upstairs. She didn't seem to look disgusted with who she saw, so you assumed it was Mom who had come to have a lie down like she had commented on earlier.

“I thought you would have hid in your room?” you questioned, removing your headphones and pushing your chair away from the desk to face her.

“Well, I think you have some explaining to do after this afternoon” she replied before looking around your room and sitting down on the edge of your bed. She didn’t seem nearly as hostile compared to the last time she had cornered you in a room so you tried to remain casual about the conversation.

“And she does it because of a deal you have?” Lucy asked.

“Well, she missed a few things but it wasn’t exactly the best place to explain everything” you clarified.

“Well... It's not like she's gonna admit this, but she seemed to be pushing for it a lot more than she let on. I can’t say I was against it either and although I had to give up a few things to make the offer more equal, I think I still ended up profiting from all this”

“Well what did you offer that she could have possibly thought was worth handing over her underwear for?” Lucy questioned,

At first, her eyes widened at your words but it seemed that the thought of that had left her in a daze as she took a while to respond after that revelation.

“And how would it change?” she immediately asked.

“Well for Mom, she would probably be doing it out of a sense of responsibility to protect Sarah” you reasoned.

“Right, that makes sense… And so would I of course” Lucy agreed, before cutting herself off to backtrack.

You knew from the way that she was acting that she would never be the one to actually suggest herself to take part in this. All the hypotheticals and putting Mom first as an option instead of herself was pretty amusing to listen too but if you really wanted to make some progress you decided it was time for you to give her a push.

“And how is that good for you?” she asked.

“Well, the same will apply to you. If you try to steal anything, without me specifically giving it to you by hand. Then I get to add a condition in my favour” you replied really hoping she would agree.

With this, it would probably mean you’d get so much more use out of her ‘Underwear Thief’ effect. At the moment there wasn’t really any way you could use it productively unless Lucy would be actively punished for stealing them. “Then what condition do you wanna add to even it out then? Of course you're already doing this to protect Sarah right? so it can't be too big of an addition” you teased, giving her a bit of leeway to change the terms.
