Darla - 2 - 2 - Darla has unlocked hypnotism and grown stronger.

Dick took a moment to look over his chart. While Ravil might be good at tracing the threads, he was good at tracing the numbers. It would take some time to build them up, but it was a start.

"Dick!" he heard Ravil call out before the other monk burst in.

"What is it? Shouldn't we be getting ready for the next change?" Dick asked, though he had a pretty good feeling what was going on.

"The threads have changed color," Ravil said urgently. "There is..."

"That was to be expected," Dick cut in quickly.

"What?"

"The Key, in its purest form, is light. It is leaving its presence on those it touches. As you said, we have to balance the changes we make. The Key, Dawn, is literally leaking sexuality on those she passes. The light will burn itself out."

I traced the threads that came after Buffy and Xander interacted with the Key. No matter how far ahead I looked I could still find traces of the green light that had passed through them."

"Nothing can ever be truly erased," Dick answered. "However, the chance that these tiny traces will have any impact in non-existent."

"But what if more lights come? What is the small specks of light are joined by others?"

There was a loud crash from outside the temple. They still had awhile before their magical protections were destroyed, but the inevitable was coming. "Anything we do will have side effects. That's inevitable. This way, having it be sexual, will minimize the impact. Horny teens being horny is much easier to explain than a random sister is never had any noticeable impact."

And much more fun, Dick thought, but didn't add.

Ravil nodded his head. "I guess we have ****. I'm ready, let's make the next change. I want to try jumping ahead in time, make sure the threads are still stable."

"Okay, where are we headed?"
