Chapter 7 by daciasdesire daciasdesire

What was Kyall up to?

Alternative sleeping arrangements.

Kyall sat with his parents as his Mom chatted endlessly with his ex-wife about her “grandkids”. Nathan was Kyall’s Mom’s true grandchild but she treated Tiffany every bit as if she was a full-blood relative too. Kyall was never going to convince his mother otherwise and in actual fact saw no real point to. Tiffany was a very sweet and lovely child too who was growing into a very beautiful woman.

Kyall was soon saved from his mother’s talk by the return of his younger brother Daniel. His younger brother was obviously in need of something by the way he punched his older bro in the shoulder as he sat down.

“So, ahh, guess who’s bunking in with you tonight big bro?”

“Excuse you?” Kyall almost rolled his eyes.

“Apparently it’s bad luck to see the bride the night before the wedding so Alexa is spending it by herself and you and I are roommates.”

Kyall groaned audibly.

“It will be like we were kids again,” Daniel added.

“I have my own job and make my own money to specifically avoid that.”

“Aww, what’s family for?”

Daniel was right and Kyall knew it. He’d do what was needed to help out his brother.

Two hours later Kyall was absolutely regretting his softer side. Daniel was passed out in the bed next to him snoring his lungs out. The cycle of loud indrawn breath, followed by a long pause and then a ‘puurfft’ sound as Daniel breathed out; his lips flapping in the wind. How could Alexa possibly sleep next to that? Kyall thought

Another half an hour later, Kyall gave up all hope of getting any sleep that night. He’d survive the wedding on coffee and grim determination alone. Getting out of bed, Kyall pulled a white cotton shirt on. He’d worn long blue sleeping pants to bed. He tucked his feet into the hotel-supplied slip-on loafers and went to take a walk to ease his mind and clear his head.

His travel took Kyall along the halls of the grand Treasury Hotel. Door after door was closed. Not all occupants were sleeping though as Kyall heard the soft telltale sounds of late-night encounters coming from more than a few rooms. Alexa and Daniel’s wedding has provided the romantic inspiration for several couples already.

Kyall was startled when a door opened just in front of him and a woman stepped out. He’d flinched from the sudden surprise and again when he saw it was his ex-wife Leanne.

Her eye blue eyes narrowed when she saw her ex-husband. “What on earth are you doing out prowling around? You gave me half a fright.”

“I’ve been **** to share a room with Daniel and his snoring is keeping me up. What are you doing?”

“I ordered a bottle of wine from room service,” Leanne said. True enough next to the doorway was an ice bucket and a bottle of wine sitting in it. Leanne bent over to pick it up.

Kyall hadn’t meant to but his eyes had followed his ex-wife. The white silk robe she’d been wearing had fallen open as she leant down. Under neath Leanne was wearing a satin nightie, the colour of which matched her eyes. The front of it collapsed forward as she bent down, giving Kyall a short fast glimpse down his ex-wife’s top. A split-second reminder of what her breasts used to look like. Firm just like he’d remember, capped in small, hard, brown nipples.

“Is that an Opus One?” Kyall asked. Leanne and Kyall had visited the Napa Valley on their own honeymoon and it was one of their favourites. Was it a sign his ex-wife had been thinking about their own wedding tonight?

“It is,” Leanne said. Her expression was unreadable. “Would you like to come in and have a glass?”

Kyall nodded unsure of what to say. It was uncharted territory for the two divorcees. Just inside the room, Kyall saw that there were two double beds like his own, one of which the sheets and blankets had already been disturbed.

“Tiffany isn’t here?” Kyall asked at]bout the unoccupied bed.

“She’s out somewhere. She’s 18. She’ll be back later, I’m sure.”

Leanne carried the wine bucket back towards the right-hand side bed she’d been lying in already. Kyall sitting himself down on the still untouched left. Leanne placed the bucket on the far bedside table and then began to discard the robe she’d been wearing to open the door. Kyall eyes widened at what he saw. His ex-wife was in phenomenal shape. She had obviously been working out and had leaned up considerably. Her arms and torso were toned and tight. Leanne’s legs which had always been great now looked even longer and more supple thanks to his ex looking slimmer around the hips. Most obvious of all still were the two hard pricks that stood out from the front of Leanne’s pale blue nightie. Her hard nipples caught in the silken fabric and lifted it up into a twin-peaked circus high-top tent on her chest.

Kyall didn’t even think not to look.

“Anything strange?” Leanne said just a little acidly, her plucked thin eyebrow raising in question.

“No, nothing,” Kyall blurted, realising he had been caught straight gapping at his ex-wife’s breasts. “You look good is all. Have you been exercising?”

“Something like that,” Leanne replied enigmatically.

She poured the wine into a single glass and took a sip, holding it up in front of her eyes to check the colour in the dim hotel room lights. “I’ve only got one glass. I’m not going to risk passing it back and forth across my nice clean bed. You might as well climb in beside me if you want a drink.”

Kyall’s eyes narrowed. He felt like a fly crawling into a spider’s trap, especially when Leanne patted the bed next to her, raising an eyebrow at her ex-husband’s hesitance. Stepping out of his slippers, Kyall left them neatly beside the bed and drew back the covers so he could get inside. The bed shook ever so slightly making the ruby-red liquid dance in the cut crystal glass. Propping himself up on his side towards Leanne, Kyall reached out a hand for the wine.

Leanne moved the wine goblet away resting it back on the nightstand behind her. “You want it, you have to grab it,” she challenged.

What does Kyall do?
