Chapter 3 by Jizzrar Jizzrar

Let’s take a deeper look into...

Allied Coalition - Daeva Protectorate

Apperance and more detailed history:

In appearance, they come in many shades of pink and purple and look almost identical to one another, give or take some differences including scars, clothing, makeup, shade in skin color, hair style, equipment, and mannerisms. Their skn is soft and smooth like regular flesh, with actual hair. However they do grow crystaline horns from their forehead, some having one, some with two, some with having up to at least six, and every number in between. These can sprout up in any sort of fashion. They also have pupiless eyes that usually clash opposite of their skin color. If one is more pink, their eyes will be purple, and vice versa. They also tend to be as tall as the average male human. These also use these crystals they are born from for their equipment, amplying magical effects greatly. They do not even need food or water, relying on holy magic to sustain themselves.

The Daeva are an oddity in Aesyr, the most odd beings in the entirity of of all the races and creatures in the world. They look very otherworldly and unnatural, as if they do not belong here oon this world or even in this very plane of existence. This is very much due to what their nature actually is and what their duty entails.

In the old world, they were created by holy gods to combat the impure forces that dominated the landscape. They were the divine retribution of the gods incarnate as they fought for a pure, pristine world free of corruption and evil. By scroll or by sword, all would submit to the will of the gods and their divine grace, though only those that they were programmed to enforce.

They are born from a rare and strange pink crystal found deep in the crust of the earth, and come from these crystals in a divine rituals known only to the Daeva now. For some odd reason, this produces only female-like beings, no known male-like Daeva exist. But they are strong and devote, though seemingly sexy in a exotic way.

Their first enemies were the Greenskins in the old world, but now they have woken up in a new world with new and more enemies...but at least now they have allies. Since their discovery by a Dwarf architect, they have been in a very shaky alliance with the Coalition, serving their loyalty to their gods and fight their enemies for them from their one mountain home.

However, they take this duty very seriously. They embody every aspect of the Chosen Pantheon and scour the landscape of their allied borders to ensure that their allies do so as well. They are effectively a race-wide inquisition ****, making others uneasy in their appearance within a town, depending on what gods happen to be Chosen.

Considering the gods that are Chosen for the cycle, you have a fifty-fifty chance of meeting a Daeva that will either be a crusading zealot ready to enforce the law of the Gods with the sword, or a Daeva that is willing to drop to her knees and give you head if you prove to be a good worshipper of the gods. Either way, better be good for goodness sake.

Daeva Chain of Command:

The Daeva Protectorate is as it sounds, a race of beings designed to protect and enforce the laws of the gods. As such, the entire race is enlisted from hatching to be a holy warrior willing to serve the cause in a grand crusade that never ends.

Initiates - Fledging Daeva straight out of the crystal, freshly hatched and ready to take on the world. Nothing is really known about what they might be good at yet, but they can train, find something that interests them, and unlock their true potential. In time, they will climb the ranks once they find their calling.

Neophytes - Daeva that are working their way through the priesthood, finding their calling more in the way of the scroll. Their abilities better suited for magic casting and communing with the children of the gods. These will become those that are typically the nicest to meet, as they will be more inclined to heal, exorcise, and reward those that abide by divine justice.

Hopelings - A name meant to both demean and embolden Daeva that come to this rank, they are those that find their calling with the sword. Training day and night to discpline themselves in martial abilities, they are hardwired to be ready to fight at any moment. Allowed to favor whatever weapon types and styles they wish, these will soon be the ones you will find in the thick of battle and dealing harsh justice to those that defy the will of the gods.

Judicators - The step above Neophytes, these are the Daeva that no longer need lessons in the ways of magic usage. Judicators are allowed to move about and study as they wish, giving out sermons as they see fit, and do simple tasks. No longer beholdened to a teacher, nor restricted by a warrior's lifestyle, they have the option to stay held up in the Rock of Hope, or go out and mingle with the other races as they so desire.

Vindicators - Those that rise above Hopelings, these Daeva have honed their martial prowess to no longer be baby-sat. Hardened by their training, they will venture forth and either police allied territories, defend the borders, or join crusading parties to take the fight to the enemies of the gods. They hold divine justice in their hands and are not afraid to deal it out as they see fit.

Cardinals - Experienced Judicators find themselves here, forming advisory councils for either their own leader or the leaders of others. Having experienced the world for themselves, they find themselves in teacher roles and no longer desire to venture out in the world, deciding to study and spread their knoweldge and wisdom. However, in times of great peril, their magical capabilities are a **** to be reckoned with.

Executioners - The epitomy of martial prowess, Vindicators that have survived long enough to be so skilled will find themselves with this title. They are feared and respected, as they are experienced in handing out the judgement of the gods and have slain many enemies and punished many heatens to gain this title. They also take the responsibility of taking up Hopelings to refine them down the correct path.

Grand Matriarch - With every batch of Initiates, there is one that stands among them. Chosen by the gods themselves, a Matriarch will be selected among the Initiates. This Matriarch will then be trained by both Cardinals and Executioners to learn both sides of the Daeva duty. When they are properly trained and ready, they then do a ceremonial spar with the current Grand Matriarch...resulting in destruction of that Grand Matriarch. From their crystal, a weapon is forged, and with this weapon, the former Grand Matriarch advises the new as they become the leader of the Protectorate.

Pantheon:

The Daeva have no Pantheon themselves. Instead, they abide by every law and function of the Chosen Pantheon of the Allied Coalition. The Gods that are Chosen affect the way the Daeva act in general, but they will still be sticklers and over all anal about their duty to abide by divine justice.

Done.
