Aleira's story

Some time ago.....

Once again Aleira was in that isolated nunnery, meditated to get her depression out. Source of that depression was same as always, high priestess wanted to be loved by man, she wanted to have a family, raise children. But she had no right to get what she wanted as she was a priestess of Sun Goddess and should have maintained celibacy

To become a priest never was decision of Aleira, that her parents sent her to the monastery when they failed to find a husband for her. Jasmine, as she was called before monastery gave her new name, was third daughter in minor noble family and as such had no fright to marry commoner and few chances to marry a noble as her status was to low. Her parents hoped that their daughter will be beautiful but fate decided against. Or, more precisely, her beauty didn't fit local beauty standards because her breasts were barely noticeable and despite her magnificent hair, very feminine and beautiful face and long lovely legs she had very slim chances to find a high ranked husband. If you add large ugly scar going from stomach to the left hip, scar gained during childhood accident slim chances turned to zero, at least that what her mother assumed and sent her to a monastery as that added to prestige of a family more.

Pious girl made a great career in the monastery, and now, twelve years later she is considered fourth priest in the whole church. She was a confessor of the king, of princess and even confessor of Lady Mira one of the greatest paladins in history. But all her spiritual successes meant nothing. Now, 31 year old, Aleira was sure that she'll never leave the church to become a loving wife. As she considered herself ugly and old, both assumptions were wrong, but Jasmine was made to think like that by her tyrannical mother and "sisters" in faith
