Agree with a kiss

You can’t contain your passion. You lean in closing your eyes as your lips meet. His eyes go wide with surprise as he doesn’t react initially. As your passionate **** continues you sense him relax as he returns your kiss. His kiss tastes minty as your tongues mingle wildly. You eagerly climb onto his lap as you embrace him, still not breaking contact with his lips. Your hands explore his chest, trying to feel him through his armor. A couple minutes pass and he breaks the kiss. Your foreheads still press together as he speaks quietly to you.

“I’m sorry Iyda, I can’t.” You pull away slightly, still on his lap.

“Waddya mean you can’t? Didn’t we just…” your voice trails off as confusion muddles your speech. You pull yourself off his lap as you stare at the ground.

“There’s someone else.” He says looking back towards camp

“Petra…” you say surprised. “I don’t see it.”

“Not quite... Her brother, an arch priest of their faith and I are much more uh, close.” He says while interlacing his fingers.

“Is that why you n’ Bax have teamed up with a bronze than? A personal favor for her brother?”

“That’s the gist of it yeah. I need you taking special care to watch over her out there. She doesn’t have much in the way offense so she’ll need more attention than Baxter or myself.”

You nod understandingly as the two of you sit in silence for some time. The gentle crackling of the fire fills the emptiness as you watch the road down the hill. You hear an owl begin to hoo in the distance. It’s hoos are unnatural and steady. You can count out 10 distinct calls before it falls silent.

“Wake Petra.” Krest says suddenly. “The orcs will be upon us in 10 minutes” pulling your mace from the dirt as you hurry to Petra’s tent.

“Petra, wake up, their nearly here” you say in a hushed voice. You wait several moments before Petra appears, leaving the tent. You and Petra exchange a few words as you make up your way back to Krest.
