After The End

A year since the downfall after CRAVT Hollows had fallen. The very few that was able to escape were no doubt the superior ones. Subjecting themselves to sacrifice their own loved ones, their families to the menacing rabbid forces. Scattered far and wide, those that took over a month to be born left without so much a second thought.

Ruby and Salem were able to leave together. Though heavily different and had no sense of having sexual relations. They dealt with this journey with great suffering and torment.

After giving birth, Ruby was so distraut in anger in the moment it arrived. That low life of a sister she had defended refused the very defense that could have saved everyone. Salem's child ended with the same fate. Even so, the two children had been abandoned upon the ambush.

Leaving their past lives behind, they had made their way south, then west. Crossing over the Alaskian border into Sibera Russia. Or what use to be Russia that is. Through their travels, they've spotted numberous communities from afar. Some peaceful, others provoking war.

"Here."

Snow had just began falling over them as the heart of winter approached. A small lit fire burned between them thanks to Ruby's heat. She passed Salem a cooked leg of a leopard.

Ruby sat herself down with knees pressed up to her own chest. Fire crackling, reflecting in her eyes. She was visibly exhausted from so much travel and not settling down.

"Have.. Have you figured out where we want to settle? You've learned more of the human maps than I.. So.. I just wanted to ask if you feel we're close to home.."

Sorrowful tone, she took small bites out of the other leg slowly.
