Abregado-rae

Abregado-rae is a major manufacturing and trade-oriented planet, the third of five worlds in the Abregado system in the Core Worlds and the homeworld of the Gados and the Moochers. Unlike most of the Core Worlds, Abregado-rae is fairly backward, to the point of being compared with worlds in the Outer Rim Territories. The planet's spaceports seem safe to the untrained eye, however in fact it's known smuggler's paradise. Which is why the Imperial Military have a strong presence in the system.

Despite being considered a backwater, Abregado-rae is till strategically important, as it is a starting point for a hyperlane named the 'Shapani Bypass'. Also nicknamed the 'Bacta run'.

Bacta. An important medical substance that greatly increases the healing process of almost any creature. The empire would fall apart without it. Because of it, the Rimma trade route became one of the empire's most important trade routes. And at the very beginning of it, lies Abregado-rae.
