ADA's analysis

ADA logs the fact that you lied into your runner profile and asks for new orders.

"Monitor news reports for attacks or for information I might need."

"Yes, please, ADA."

An audio feed, which according to the display can only be audio, says that a small group of mecha are circling a city, but that the situation is under control as the "brave men and women of The MLDF" are acting as "both shield and sword to our fair city".

"Hold on a minute. Who are the MLDF?"

[The Mars Liberation and Defense Forces. They are a group of runners assembled in order to free Mars from Earth.]

"Are they good at it?"

[Since Earth has not yet relinquished it's control over Mars, the answer is most likely no. However, of the deeds for which they have claimed responsibility, 98% have resulted in success.]

"Not too shabby. Maybe we can leave the city to them, after all," you say, already thinking about getting them as back-up for when the game becomes dangerous. They may not have a Jehuty, but good runners could be handy.

[Among their deeds are: the bombing of the Earth embassy to Olympus Mons, assassinating Tachibana Ryosuke, a cabinet member of Earth and detaining several lawmakers for 79 hours before terminating five of them.]

"They sound like terrorists." Recruiting them doesn't seem like such a hot idea anymore. "What would happen if we fought them instead of BAHRAM?"

[Given the popular opinion of this organization, you would most likely be considered a very bad person and executed.]

"Seems like only the enemies of terrorists call them that, while the rest call them heroes. What if I joined them?"

[Not recommended.]

"Why not?"

[An unknown factor makes joining their ranks risky.]

"How much do you know about this 'unknown factor'?"

[It is dangerous.]

"Thats it?"

[That is all the information I have at this time, but it is sufficient. Joining the MLDF is not recommended.]

"Damned if I do, damned if I don't." You smirk. "Kojima really knows how to put a player in a spot, doesn't he? One more question, ADA. These MLDF guys. What are they running?"

[Clarify.]

"Are they using LEVs or orbital frames?"

[Approximately 99% of the MLDF use standard LEVs. However, five members operate orbital frames.]

"Let me guess," you sigh, still smirking. "The ones in frames are the ones who make up most of those successful missions, right?"

[Correct. At each successful mission, at least one of these frames was spotted.]

"So, now we've got our boss characters. Alright, ADA, lets..."
