It explains how this guy's disguise worked. You will have a harder time posing as a believable mage because your mana is too low for any level 3 mage and you know exactly zero spells. Besides, it is covered in blood

You fail to read the runes on this thing. It may cost a good amount of money but selling necromancy related stuff can bring all kinds of trouble. Even carrying unknown magical objects is a dangerous idea
Ring of intelligence (+1)
+1 is basically nothing, you aren't sure that it is even worth to bother with such a useless piece of jewelry.
"Damn!" you speak to your dog "Being a brigand isn't as profitable as one could hope. What shall we do now my friend?"
Unsurprisingly you get no answer from your companion. And you should make your decision sooner than later. This road is usually rather busy and by staying here you are risking to meet adventurers, who will gladly get some easy XP by calling a low-level brigand.

You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
