A trip to the salon

As the two of you head to the exit, you look around the mall. When your eyes settle on a salon, you stop.

Alex notices after a second, and follows your eyes. "Really? You wanna go there?"

You feel your face heating up. "I mean, this is an experience most people don't get, right? What harm could there be in trying it out? My sister's always been into places like this, and I'm curious what makes them so great."

Alex grins, but nods. "Okay, fair enough." he says. "Go for it."

You smile and walk in, and to your delight, which you know you shouldn't be feeling, there's an opening.

You're led to a seat and asked what you want done. You think for a moment and smile, knowing what you want.

It takes quite a while for the salon employees to do their work, and you watch with rapt attention the whole time. Especially to the makeup. They informed you early on that they have some for sale, and you decided to jump on that offer so that you could try to replicate their work.

You feel confident that you'll be able to. Likely thanks to the magic.

You walk up to Alex, and it takes him a moment to realize that it's you. "Woah, J...Jane?"

You smile, looking into the nearby mirror. Your face is covered in makeup, making your already amazing looks even better. You swear you could be a model. Your nails have been painted pink, matching your lipstick, and the biggest change of all is your hair.

Your brown hair is dyed a luxurious blonde, which you feel you pull off marvelously. You know it's the magic, that Alex prefers blondes, but it doesn't change how you feel. You love how you look now.

"Yeah, it's me." you say.

"Holy shit, you look...amazing." he says.

"Thanks. Shall we get going?"

He nods, pays for your work and the makeup kit, and you leave. He's more or less silent the whole way to the car, stealing the occasional glance at you. You find yourself loving the attention.

He loads up your bags and you both climb into his car and he starts heading back to his house.
