A subdued Helen

Over the next couple of days Helen was pretty subdued. There was no sexiness, and she focused on trying to be considerate and an attentive wife to me. It was clear that she was sorry for what had happened and was seeking a way to make it up to me. She was trying to be 'nice' and although that in itself was 'nice' there was no denying that some of the excitement had gone out of our relationship.

We discussed it, and I reiterated that I had forgiven her, and that she didn't 'have to make it up to me' but that if she wanted to, she was more than happy to.

Another week went by, and although the atmosphere largely returned to normal, sex was not a popular topic in the house as Helen was avoiding it. At least I had established who was boss in the household again.
