A stinky situation

As Lauren threw the mud to the side angrily, she heard a high pitched chatter. Confused, she turned to see what the chatter was coming from: the mud had landed on a small woodland animal.

“N-n-nice skunky. G-good skunky.” Lauren said nervously as she began to slowly back away, making sure not to slip in the mud again. “I-I’m backing away now, see? There’s no need for any of us to –“

Lauren didn’t get a chance to finish as the skunk turned around and lifted its tail. Lauren screamed as the skunk coated her from head to toe in it’s special perfume; Lauren had just been skunked!

Lauren, blinded by the skunking, ran the opposite direction the best she could. She suddenly found her backside being coated in a liquid; the little pest skunked her again!

Screaming, Lauren charged blindly into the woods; rubbing her burning, watery eyes. That was when she tripped on yet another log and fell into a bush. Lauren sat up as she kept rubbing her eyes and blinked a few times; she could see again, but her eyes still stung.

That was when she heard another high pitched chatter and looked down to see another black and white bushy tail lift up.

“No…” Lauren moaned pathetically. She closed her eyes this time as she felt herself getting sprayed a third time. Lauren opened her eyes just in time to see the skunk run off. Feeling exhausted, Lauren tried to catch her breath...

Only for the smell to final hit her! She began coughing and gagging from the foul stench. She mentally berated herself for thinking the woods would be a good idea. She needed to get out of here.
