A slight detour

Tree watched Danielle as she scurry-walked through the quad, trying not to make eye contact with anyone, lest she want to see if her gaze could set someone ablaze.

Tree smiled at how embarrassed the normally "in control" queen bee was. She had to creep closer to see the next part of her plan...

"Hey Danielle, liking the new look." A cute tall guy called out to her.

"Out of my way, creep!" Danielle waved him off.

"Babe?!" He called back to her, which made her stop in her tracks.

"Josh?! Oh my gosh, Baby! I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you! I've had such a bad morning, but I'm late to class. I'll call you later!" Danielle apologized to her boyfriend.
