She was a shadow elf. A type of elf that adapted to life as a soldier. Formerly they were hunters, fighters and assassins. Nowadays, the majority of them joined in their respective country's military. There they would be able to exercise, fight or train in subterfuge. Do those things that made them feel alive.
Like all elves, shadow elves had pointy ears and lived very long lives. Unlike other elves, shadow elves always had black hair and pale skin. Their genetics simply didn't support anything different.
