A nice conversation over breakfast

Chisa set to work in the kitchen, so I'd better figure out exactly how this happened. I know the Rulebook is free to change anything after my birth, but I don't know what it changed, or even where the book is!

"Mako-kun? You seem out of it. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, Mom. Just trying to process how Chisa got here."

"I can explain that." Chisa had finished, and everything smelled great. I couldn't help but feel like a bad son thinking that Chisa's cooking may be better than my Mother's.

-One explanation later-

"So it's part of a play to "humanize" Ultimates?"

"Yeah, I mean think about it, there's a whole class of people that are supposed to lead their fields, but no one can empathize with them. The whole Hope's Peak system has come under fire lately for appearing too...insurmountable. People just can't identify with it, and since our funding comes from the government, we try to keep in good standing."

"But why our place, I mean, how did you even pick where to go?"

"Well, this might sound silly, but we put the names of all the households in Japan into a lottery and picked one for each student."

"And our name came out for you?"

"Right! So now you have your very own Ultimate Housekeeper!" She said while standing with a dramatic flourish showing off her apron.

"Really? So what exactly is part of this arrangement?"

"Well, I basically use my talent to help you. However that is."

*ding dong*

"I'll get it." I wonder who it is this time. Hiro? Hina? Byakuya?
