A new war for the stars

—Star Wars! Of course!” John says with enthusiasm as he decides that right before the Clone Wars would be the perfect setting. Then with the speed and purpose of a TV hacker, he begins typing his divine laws.

• The year is 24 BBY, just two years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars. The galaxy is increasing in instability, with eyes focused far from the unknown regions.

Now with that in place, John begins brainstorming ideas, then it hits him. Using inspiration from his other favorite franchises he could create a species and faction of his very own. Picking out names, a smirk grows across his face as he types them out.

• In a far corner of the unknown regions a new **** has emerged, the American Union Space Command or AUSC. Having fled from a great evil, they arrived here in search of a new home. During transit unfortunately, their **** was scattered.

• The AUSC by 24 BBY has a small but powerful navy. The fleet contains the Mako-Class frigate, the Artemis-Class long range cruiser, the Archer-Class “sniper” frigate, the Phoenix-Class battle/support carrier, and the flagship of the AUSC, the Titan-Class Dreadnought. With two types of star-fighters in use, the Starfury Thunderbolt and Viper Mark II.

After finishing the immediate backstory and navy of his new faction, John begins work on their government, culture, and biology.

• The AUSC can be described in part by the phrase “An army with a state.” They are highly militarized in every sense of the word, with military service seen as being the rite of passage to adulthood. Honor, camaraderie, bravery, integrity, and loyalty are the five values Americans strive to achieve and uphold. Almost to a religious degree..

• The social system of American society is that of equal rights and responsibilities. This system operates on the basis that gender roles should be encouraged, while those who are exceptions are welcomed. Forming a strong sense of tradition and community, yet still adaptable.

• The AUSC is in a manner of speaking, a semi-democratic military dictatorship. This system was adopted when the Emperor emerged shortly after the war with the great evil began. Due to the desperation of fighting a war of extinction, many previous democratic values had to be changed to ensure survival. A simplified version of government today is that planets can govern themselves semi-autonomously as states, but must obey the laws and commands of the federal state aka the military.

• There are actually two who hold supreme authority in the AUSC, the Emperor and the Brood Mother, Gwynevere. While the two supreme leaders are the heads of government, the daily needs of the AUSC are managed by the advisor’s council. This council is made up of individuals appointed personally by the Emperor himself.

Finishing up the governmental structure, John then begins rubbing his chin in deep thought, brainstorming ideas for the American race. Then another admittedly devious smirk appears upon his face. Followed then by light chuckling, which is soon drowned out by the sound of clacking keys.

• The Americans are a mammalian humanoid race which share a striking resemblance to humans. Despite this however, Americans exhibit serval key differences. The first of these differences are that both males and females have what is called an intelligent metabolism. Which strives to keep the body as healthy and fit as possible, this is achieved by metabolism changing itself to burn or expel unneeded proteins and calories with great efficiency. Unlike most other civilized species, the Americans seem to have retained much of their primal traits and even expanded upon them. Which they use, to often frightening levels of success.

The skin of an American has two interesting qualities, the first that it can close up most wounds fairly quickly compared to other species. The second that while closely resembling human skin, many Americans have unique color patterns. The skin’s base color extends from pale to a caramel coloration. The patterns seem to be serve the purpose of offering slight camouflage and attracting a mate.

Both males and females share very high sex drives, just about making the Americans the horniest species in the galaxy, yet disciplined due to their militant culture. Mutual consent is also highly respected, making for very interesting shouting matches right before mating begins. They both also possess a “marking” gland. This gland located on the neck, creates a pheromone only Americans can immediately detect, which quite literally marks the person as taken. Most other species don’t possess the ability to detect this pheromone, which very quickly leads to brutal fights, sense Americans are intensely loyal to their mates.

• Males: they are naturally hard wired to be protectors and fighters. Males possess extremely advanced senses, increased reaction times, enhanced smell, and even detection of electromagnetic signals. Thanks to their metabolism males can build up and maintain muscle strength and endurance, even staying fit well into old age.

When a life or **** scenario is presented, males can enter what is know as the “warrior’s wrath”. During such an event, first the pupils will dilate, changing into a more predatory shape. Then various hormones including adrenaline flood into the body, resulting in berserker like behavior. Nevertheless soldiers of the AUSC have trained to be able to use the warrior’s wrath effectively in combat, if not to a limited degree.

Then an idea pops into his mind, looking back up at the computer a look of determination dawns John’s tired face. “I want you to erase all of my memories of this life, and put my essence inside the character..” Pondering for a few seconds, John picks the character he will go through this journey as. “Spartan Koota Anio.”

The computer buffers for a second, seemingly loading the command of its master.

Suddenly a cascade of lighting bolts rocket out of the center structure, spreading all across the room. John at first instinctively jumps back, however the bolts move faster. They all slam into him, the energy of creation begins surging through the young man. And just before he blacks out, John once again smiles. ‘Well this life was good, let’s hope the next is even better..’

Then just as quickly as it had began, the thundering lightning disappears. Leaving only a dark, empty room once more.
