You sit at your desk patiently. In a chair in the nearby waiting area sits another young woman. You discovered that she holds a similar position as you and is the the visiting male's secretary. Blonde bangs escape and spill over the large studious glasses which cover her eyes. Her stiff grace gives away her advanced concubine training and her slight arrogance betrays her high position. Her collar is a different style from your Master's preference and is a simpler black with no stone adornments.

She has been mostly silent and annoyed. Her answers have been brief. She likely has been trained by her Master not to speak freely.

"What brings you here?" you finally ask to break the uncomfortable silence.

She gives you an annoyed look, "My Master is speaking with your Master to engage in trade."

"What, goods are you bringing?"

"No," she says somewhat annoyed, "every year the heads of the harem trade females that have come of age. Are you slow or something?"

A sick feeling washes over you. Of course, more bartering of our lives. You had wondered how new females were inducted into the harem. This must be how they ensure a healthy genetic pool with each harem population. As their daughters came off age, each Master must trade them with a neighboring Male.
