A modified hockey stadium

The arena where the fight would take place was an old ice hockey arena, modified for the purpose. The walls around the arena floor were higher, 3,5 meters in all, the ice was of course gone, and there was only one entrance into the arena floor: a wide gate made up of thick iron bars. The modest stands were full of spectators. The group was sent in first. They gathered at the far side of the srena floor, and organized themselves into groups of their chosen athletic discipline. Then the lights went out in the hall. A pair of strong spotlight shined at the entrance gate.
