A long awaited reunion

Once the plane touches down, the soldiers once again round you up and lead you off the plans. You are taken to a bus and then to a hospital. The group is separated once more and each family is taken away for more through evaluations. You silently let them do there work, only speaking to comfort your children. They cling to you, disorientated from the recent changes.

Once you have all been given a clear bill of health, the legalities come into play. Each of your children are being registered as United States citizens and you are tasked to fill in what you remember about each of their births. Aran, your oldest, was born in May if you remember right and you think your youngest set of twins, Noah and Niko, were born on Halloween? Your memories are hazy, a side effect of the Nymph's Bane. You fill out the forms to the best of your ability, though you hope some of the gaps can be sorted through with what information they gather from Yamamoto's files.

By the end of the week, the group of bottoms and children you travelled with is separated for the last time. Each of you are put onto trains and buses heading for your old homes. Part of you is excited to head back, but another part of you is terrified. So much has probably changed in the eight years you were away. You barely knew anyone growing up and your father... He had to have moved on, right? Found someone to settle down with, maybe given you the siblings you always asked him for growing up? Or maybe he moved away, writing you off as gone and not wanting to be surrounded by painful memories? You can't help but let a few tears out at the thought but your 'youngest' child, Matthew, reaches up to brush them away. You hold him tightly, promising yourself that you would give your kids the best life possible, no matter the outcome.

The train comes to a stop and the soldier escorting you home motions for you to follow. You can feel everyone's eyes on you, either drooling over your body or wondering why you are here. You hold your children tight, wondering what was going to happen to you now?

Then, you see him. Just as you step off the train, you catch your father in the corner of your eye. He looks so much different, but also so much the same. His hair is more gray then brown now and his eyes are surrounded by crow's feet and wrinkles, but he still wears those stupid sweater vests and he's smiling at you and dear God, is he crying?

For a moment, you forget about your family and rush towards him, enveloping him in a hug. You cry just as hard as him and cling to him like he'll disappear if you don't.

"Lexus." he says, "Oh Lexus! I thought I would never see you again!"

You **** a little on a hiccup and return the sentiment. You had given up hope on ever finding your father again after your ****. But here he is, waiting to take you home.

"Daddy?" a little voice asks behind you, "Who is that?"

You turn, giving your children a teary smile. "This is your grandpa baby. He's here to take us home."
