Chapter 3 by Jaegarblk

What the hell is a PLAY Investigator or a COR or whatever you are?

A lifeline. If you can afford it.

GAMES get played at Shoubu University. GAMES have winners and losers. WIN or LOSE, both get an OUTCOME.

Most times the PLAYERS can live with the OUTCOME or they would choose NO PLAY. Sometimes though things happen. Sometimes people get forced into GAMES they really don’t want to PLAY and they end up with an OUTCOME they don’t like and can’t live with.

Oh, for first year students GAME OUTCOMES are all free beer, and lap dances or a blow job if they are really daring.

Come third year and they’ll have learnt. Shoubu can get real fucking weird and real fucking rough.

You have seen girls who as an OUTCOME had to get all their nutritional requirements from fresh spunk, and guys who literally couldn’t leave their dorm on any exam day unless they ate out their gross ass tutor’s gross ass. Enslavement, forced gender swap, impregnated women, (or for that matter men, this being Shoubu University) who didn’t want a baby and were pro-life or just some nerd caught out into doing some damn jock’s whole degree for him.

You’ve seen it all.

Seen it, worked it, fixed it.

As a PI at Shoubu University you work the loopholes of an OUTCOME to let the LOSER slip away, make counter CONTESTS that change the OUTCOME or make things uncomfortable enough for the WINNER that they simply don’t collect.

It’s not an easy job working the angles, and sometimes you need to get your hands dirty and play a few GAMES yourself but you get people out of jams.

You have no delusions that you’re a hero though or doing it for a good cause. And you are not a good guy. You remind yourself that every day. Sentimentality will get you fucked or worse at Shoubu (though generally it’s just fucked).

You get paid by your clients to get them out of paying their dues. Whether they are a vulnerable freshman and got preyed on, an average joe sophomore who got tricked, or an entitled third year bitch who lost fair and square; if they pay then they are a client. And sometimes that means turning the tables on students who played fair and won and you collecting your own WIN OUTCOME at their expense.

Nonetheless you do secretly have to admit that the good days, and maybe the real reason you still hung around Shoubu, were the days where the final OUTCOME you worked for tallied with what was deserved. Still, worrying about that wasn’t in your job description.

Your appearance?
