A laser suprise!

Shannon was about to keep running after Stacy X when she saw motion to her side. There was a laser mounted on a mechanical arm. A trap! Shannon swung her pistol to try to disable the laser, but it fired first, encompassing Shannon in a blinding bright light.

"AHHH!" Shannon screamed. She threw her hands up over her face, expecting the laser to sear and burn her. To her surprise she felt nothing. She opened her eyes. It must have been a low intensity laser, designed not to burn human skin. But what was the point in that?

Then, she looked down. He her horror, her clothes were smoking! It must have been a medical laser, designed only to damage inorganic material! While her flesh was safe, everything on her person was burning away.

She felt heat in her hand. Her pistol was glowing, red hot. She dropped it as it fused and melted, uterly destroyed. Her badge was destroyed as well. Meanwhile her leather jacket was developing large burn marks and holes. In less then five seconds it fell off her body.

Her blouse wasn't faring much better. The thin synthetic material seared away, along with her pants. Even her shoes and belt quickly were seared into nothingness, falling to the ground in a scalded, useless pile that shriveled away.

Shannon stared in shock. She was now in her bra and panties! Not only that, they were quickly falling apart! While she watched helplessly her bra straps snapped, the edges of her panties frayed and shriveled. Soon both garments dropped to the ground.

The laser turned off. Shannon, struggling to catch her panicked breath, stood fully nude, no gun, no badge, nothing but her bare and uncovered body!
