She was a high elf. A type of elf that had adapted to life in the city. They were usually found in wealthy society. Sure, once in a while one of them lost all his money and had to live as a homeless. But High elves were proud and arrogant. They would never allow one of their own to live such a horrid lifestyle. In such a case, their parents or siblings would bring them back into the family and support them. Once they had enough savings to strike out on their own once more.
Like all elves, the high elves had pointy ears and lived very long lives. Unlike other elves, high elves always had blond hair and blank skin. Their genetics simply didn't support anything different.
