A great snake

The girls were shocked to see a large snake sitting in the middle of the circle.

"Thisss isss unexssspected" hissed the snake. "Who hasss sssummoned me? Ssstep forward and let usss ssspeak!"

Dominique, who saw herself as the leader of the 'coven' stepped forward.

"Ssstate your demandssss!" said the snake.

"We wish you to make us popular, rich and desirable." Said Dominique.

"Desssirable isss possible" said the snake "The ressst are up to you to gain. Ssstill, it'sss not unreasssonable to exsspect them oncsse you gain my powerssss"

"And what would you ask in return?" asked Dominique.

"Sssimply that you allow me to ressside within your sssoulsss for asss long asss you keep my powersss"

"And what would that do to us?"

"Nothing" said the snake "It would sssimply allow me to remain in your world and basssk in it'sss sssunlight. It?sss been ssso long sssince I sssaw the sssun."

"So you swear not to harm us in body, mind or soul for as long as you remain in this plane or after, or cause us to come to harm? And you are willing to be held to such by the sigils that bind you."

"I ssso ssswear, sssorsssoresss" said the snake.

"Then we agree to your terms. Don't we girls?"

Leslie and Jenny, the two other girls, looked less convinced, but they both nodded.

"Then ssstep into the sscircle" said the snake.

Dominique, as leader, decided that she should be the first and stepped across the border of the circle.
