A girl

Three days later, when working, Matt was up in chair, the pool wasn't too crowded, but not enough to relax. He had gained 5 pounds in those three days, already his not quite defined body gaining some notable definition and his complexion had cleared up. Seemed some of his power leaked out without his will.
It was a hot day, and the girl stepped up to the diving board. She was about his own age, brunette, a shorter girl, but with definite curves and sly smile on her lips. Matt had already found himself distracted by her in the lap lane among the throngs of day-camp children in the open water. She rushed down the diving board, when she suddenly slipped and struck her shoulder on diving board before falling into the water.
Matt's training kicked into use, and without thinking, he whistled and jumped in the rapidly reddening water after her. She was beneath the surface and Matt got to her and left his tube at the surface as he kicked down after the girl. His body and limits a secondary thought to saving this girl. He was going to save her. He felt the energy in him give him unnatural vigor. Gingerly but efficiently he pulled the girl to the surface, pulling the tube beneath her as a backboard was fetched.
